Inspire North, the Leeds-headquartered charity that has delivered more than £28million of contracted mental health, dementia, domestic abuse and criminal justice, and supported accommodation services across Yorkshire and the North East in the last five years has announced the amalgamation of its group structure and a refreshed brand identity in a key strategic move as part of its Inclusive Growth & Business Strategy 2025 – 2029.

The organisation - which supports around 12,600 people each year and operated services as Community Links and Foundation under its former group structure - will now be known and branded solely as Inspire North.

It has also completed its conversion to a Community Benefit Society; a not-for-profit organisation registered with the Financial Conduct Authority with the specific intention that it must benefit the community.

Ruth Kettle, CEO at Inspire North, explained: “As we formally announce the amalgamation of Community Links and Foundation into Inspire North, we are delighted to launch our new brand identity, which accurately reflects our group vision to create a world where everyone matters and our group values of people, integrity, collaboration and passion.

Ruth explained: “Between 2019 and 2024 we saw growth in all areas of our business and across our geographical spread, supported more than 12,000 people across our services, and secured contracts in new geographical areas across West Yorkshire.

“These strategic changes we have announced today will allow us to operate more effectively and efficiently, as well as to seek opportunities for mergers with organisations that share our purpose to deliver high-quality, effective services across mental health, dementia, domestic abuse and criminal justice, and supported accommodation.”

“Our Inclusive Growth & Business Strategy 2025 – 2029 will ensure we continue to build on our success while delivering financial growth but, most importantly, that we continue to help build brighter futures for our clients by working to create a world where everyone matters.”

Inspire North partnered with The Purpose Designer and Nick Woodhead Design & Illustration to develop and create its new brand identity.

Danny Bulmer, founder at The Purpose Designer, said: “Through a series of collaborative workshops with a broad range of stakeholders, The Purpose Designers gained deep insights into Inspire North’s core purpose. This informed the creation of a powerful new brand identity that consolidates Inspire North’s key service providers along with its subsidiary service brands, under one unified theme.

“At the heart of the new identity is a bespoke logotype, with a distinctive ‘N’ that subtly depicts an individual person. This reflects Inspire North’s unwavering commitment to placing individuals and their unique needs at the forefront of its work.”

Inspire North also collaborated with not-for-profit web design agency, The Developer Society, to create a new website as part of the rebrand project.

Stephen Hawkes, co-founder and director at The Developer Society, said: “We’re delighted to support Inspire North. As a community benefit society ourselves, I truly believe the culture we have in common has been key to the project’s success and speed. There’s so much power in the third sector when groups come together with a common purpose.
