Anxiety Course
A four-week course aimed at understanding and managing anxiety. The course is underpinned by the CBT model and we will use this to help us understand how our thoughts and our behaviours can maintain our anxiety and how we can manage or challenge this. This course also uses the Polyvagal theory to help us understand the role of the body/autonomic nervous system in maintaining anxiety and relieving symptoms of anxiety. It also offers a chance for you to share your experiences and get peer support from other people also experiencing anxiety.
Anger Management Course
A six week group work programme based on the model of CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy). We aim to help people build an awareness and understanding of their anger at different stages, and offer strategies to manage this in different ways. Sessions involve a mix of facilitator delivered information as well as group discussions and activities. Each client will take away a workbook following the course completion to act as a reminder of skills learnt.
Confidence Workshop
The Confidence workshop explores key aspects of confidence, such as “what is confidence” and ‘how does it affect me’.
We explore the impact on self-esteem and how our body language is influenced, alongside the role it can have on our personal values and beliefs.
The course was designed by two former clients of CLEAR, who went on to work in Support Worker roles and it includes tools and tips they used within their own recovery.
Mindfulness Course
Mindfulness can be described as the open and accepting awareness that can arise through paying attention, on purpose and in the present moment, without judgment.
